JKFA Organize a 2nd Campaign to Cleaning Mount Nebo

Under the Patronage and participation of H.R.H. Prince Mered Ben Raad, with the participation of H.E. Dr. Yassin Khayatt, Senator and Former Minister of the Environment and H. E. Mr. Choi Hong-ghi, the Korean Ambassador to Jordan, The Jordanian Korean Friendship Association (JKFA), in partnership with The Korean Community Association, organized a campaign to clean up the forest areas around the Mount Nebo Site last Saturday March 15th, 2014.

More than 100 members of the Association, headed by the Chairman of the Association, H.E. Mr. Ramsey Khoury, their families and their friends had carried out this volunteered work along with their colleagues from the Korean community in Jordan with the active attendance from the members of KOTRA Amman Office and the presence of Madaba Governorate and Municipality.

This is one of the Association's key CSR initiatives, reflecting its commitment to environmental conservation and protection of Jordan’s touristic site from the threat of contamination.

Such periodic efforts by JKFA reflect the remarkable level of environmental knowledge and commitment that the Association promotes. It also speaks about culture of the Association that is striving to spread awareness among different spectrums of society about the dangers of pollution and its direct damage to the environment.

This event was sponsored by a leading Jordanian companies and the Korean Business Society, who contribute in the support of the society and its development as well as preservation of the environment of the country.

It is worth mentioning that since the establishment of the JKFA in 1982, the Jordanian-Korean Friendship Association has been chaired by leaders from the Jordanian community and dedicated to fostering the friendly ties between the people of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and the people of the Republic of Korea.
